Start with the style. A two piece rain suit keeps the legs dry when workers bend, kneel or move a lot: Delta Plus offers the 400 and 304 jacket and trouser suits, and SafeEss makes a jacket and pant set. A coat is quicker to put on over normal clothes: the Delta Plus MA400 is a hooded rain coat, the Delta Plus 305 is 1.20 m long for leg coverage, and SafeEss offers a gown style raincoat that reaches the knees.
Then compare fabric and seams. The Delta Plus 400 and MA400 are PVC coated polyester with waterproof seams, while the 304 and 305 have a PVC coating on both sides of the polyester and sealed seams; all four are marked EN 343, the European standard for protective clothing against rain. SafeEss raincoats are PVC coated, water repellent polyester taffeta with taping along the stitching on the inside. Every Delta Plus model here has a back ventilation flap and underarm eyelets to let sweat out, which helps in humid monsoon weather.
Check visibility and fit details. The Delta Plus MA400 has decorative reflective tapes on the front and back, and SafeEss raincoats come with silver or YSY tape, with or without a hood, with velcro or elastic wrists and a front zipper under a flap. Delta Plus lists the 400 and 304 suits in sizes M to XXL and the 305 long coat in M to 3XL.
For cold weather, the SafeEss industrial winter jacket has a polyester or cotton outer shell of 200 to 300 GSM against wind and moisture, with a quilted insulation or woollen fleece lining, with or without a hood. It carries reflective tape, comes in 7 colours, and has two chest pockets, two lower pockets and an inside mobile pocket. Choose the lining by how cold the site gets and how active the work is.
