Start with the risk. A lithium-ion cell that overheats can pass heat to the cells next to it, so the fire needs cooling as well as smothering. The AVD agent is water carrying exfoliated vermiculite particles: sprayed as a mist, it cools the fuel and leaves a non-flammable film over the burning surface that keeps oxygen out.
Then pick the size by what you protect. The 1 and 2 litre units are easy to keep beside chargers, laptops, battery cabinets and UPS racks, while the 6 and 9 litre units carry more agent for battery storage rooms, e-bike and scooter parking and charging bays. The 1 litre model is rated 3A, with an average discharge of 25 seconds, a throw of 1.5 to 2 m and about 97 percent discharge.
All four sizes are stored pressure units with UHP grade nitrogen as the expelling agent and a nozzle type discharge, so they are ready to use with no separate cartridge. FPS helps you place them near the battery risk, installs them and maintains them in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
