A beam detector protects a wide open area with one device instead of many ceiling detectors. The Agni unit is single ended and reflective: the transmitter and receiver sit in one housing and the beam is bounced back by a reflector on the far side, so only one end needs wiring.
Check the distance first. Agni gives a monitoring range of 8 to 100 m, so measure the path across the space before ordering. A built in laser pointer helps line up the beam during installation, and three sensitivity settings let the detector be set to suit the space.
The detector has fire and fault monitoring relays, so it signals the fire alarm panel through its own contacts, and Agni states that it meets EN 54. FPS can confirm the wiring for your panel and give a price on request.
