A conventional detector is wired with others on a zone circuit, and the panel shows which zone is in alarm rather than the exact detector. Agni's QS models are designed for open area protection and for use with most conventional fire alarm panels.
Choose smoke or heat to suit the room. Photoelectric (optical) smoke detectors suit the dense, visible smoke from slow smouldering fires in soft furnishings, plastics and foam. Heat detectors suit kitchens, boiler and generator rooms, parking areas and workshops, where dust, fumes or steam could set off a smoke detector: the QS951-2L works on a fixed temperature, and the AD318-2L is a rate of rise detector that responds to a fast climb in temperature. Multi sensor detectors combine smoke and heat sensing in one head.
The QS models have two LEDs for 360 degree indication. The LEDs flash every six seconds while the detector is powered and working, latch on in alarm and go off in a trouble condition, and the detector is reset by a brief power interruption from the panel. The QS388 models run on 9 to 33 V DC, non-polarized, so the two wires can be connected either way round. The low profile models (AD338-2HL, AD318-2L and a low profile photoelectric smoke detector) have a bi-colour status LED, low current draw and a remote alarm test feature.
The QS388-4L is a 4 wire version of the photoelectric smoke detector, for panels or interfaces that need separate power and alarm wiring. Tell us which panel you have and FPS will confirm the right detector, with a price on request.
