How to choose
Start with the system type. The FYRLAAST sounders connect to an addressable loop, where each device has its own address and can be programmed for tone and signal. The AD-ESF1, AD502 and AD501 are for conventional systems and work with most conventional fire alarm panels.
Then decide between a sounder only and a sounder strobe. A strobe adds a flashing light, which helps in noisy areas and for people who may not hear the alarm. The FL-433/WMSS has a cluster of 10 high glow LEDs and can be set as sounder only, sounder and strobe, or strobe only; the FL-433/BSS base model has a cluster of 8 LEDs.
All four FYRLAAST devices offer 17 programmable alarm tones and can be programmed for an alert or an evacuate signal, so the system can give a warning tone and a separate signal to leave the building.
For conventional systems, the AD-ESF1 combines a sweep siren with a strobe and runs on 24 V DC (15 to 30 V). The AD502 has an FR polymer ABS body and the AD501 an MS body. Agni's spec table gives 20 to 26 V DC for both, and the maker also lists 12 V DC and 70 to 100 V AC operation for PA systems, so FPS confirms the version when you order.
