First check the fire risk. BC powder tackles Class B fires (flammable liquids such as diesel, petrol, solvents and paints) and Class C fires (electrical equipment). If your risk also includes wood, paper or cloth (Class A), discuss an ABC powder unit with us instead.
Then decide the actuation method. In a gas cartridge unit, a separate CO2 cartridge is pierced when you operate the extinguisher and that gas pushes the powder out, so the mechanism still works even if the body loses pressure. In a CO2 stored pressure unit, the propellant gas sits inside the cylinder with the powder, which removes the separate cartridge and shortens the operating steps in an emergency.
Match the capacity to the area you need to cover. A 25 Kg trolley suits fuel points, LPG installations and smaller process areas; 50 Kg gives a longer discharge for wide factory floors and large warehouses; 75 Kg is the largest trolley in the Savemax range and is specified for refineries, gas terminals and airport perimeters.
All these units are BIS/ISI marked and CPWD approved, which helps in government and institutional tenders. Trolley extinguishers need clear floor paths and level access, so plan parking spots near the hazard. FPS can survey your site, recommend quantities and positions, and handle refilling and annual service. Prices are on request.
