How to choose

Choose clean agent where the cleanup after a discharge matters as much as putting the fire out. FK5-1-12 works by cooling the fire and interrupting the chemical chain reaction of burning, and it leaves no residue, water or powder on servers, medical devices or heritage exhibits.

Pick the size by the equipment and the room. Savemax lists 2, 4 and 6 Kg capacities: the smaller units are easy to place beside a rack or cabinet, and the 6 Kg holds the most agent in the range.

Select the body and check approvals. The range is offered with an MS (mild steel) body or a stainless steel body. The maker lists BIS/ISI marking and Euro certification for these extinguishers; Savemax describes the FK5-1-12 gas itself as UL listed, which refers to the agent rather than the extinguisher.

Frequently asked questions

What is a clean agent fire extinguisher?

It discharges a gas, here FK5-1-12, that puts out fire by cooling it and breaking the chemical chain reaction. It leaves no residue, water or powder behind, so sensitive equipment does not need cleaning afterwards.

Which sizes and bodies are available?

Savemax lists 2, 4 and 6 Kg capacities, each with a choice of MS or stainless steel body.

What approvals do these extinguishers carry?

The maker lists them as BIS/ISI marked and Euro certified. Share your tender or audit requirement and FPS will confirm the matching model.

Is the extinguisher UL listed?

Savemax states that the FK5-1-12 agent it uses is UL listed. A UL listing for the extinguisher itself is not stated, so tell us if your specification needs one.

Does FPS refill clean agent extinguishers?

Yes. FPS supplies, installs, refills and maintains Savemax extinguishers in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh. Prices are on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
