How to choose

A gas release panel is the controller of a gas flooding suppression system: it takes signals from the detectors, gives a warning and then triggers the gas release. Soft-Chip designs the logic to suit the type of gas flooding system being installed.

Choose single zone or cross zone operation. With cross zone logic, the release follows only when two zones both detect the fire, which reduces the chance of an unwanted discharge; Soft-Chip also lists false gas release protection. Before release the panel gives a pre discharge warning with a programmable countdown timer, and it provides a 24 VDC gas release output.

For manual release there is a programmable countdown or bypass, plus a manual abort facility, and the panel works in auto or manual mode. It has an LCD display with data logging, an SMPS power supply and a modular plug-in card design. Soft-Chip states that it follows IS 2189:1999, lists CE and RoHS, and is ERTL (North) tested.
