A zoned fire alarm panel divides a building into zones, each an area whose detectors and call points are wired as one circuit, and shows which zone has a fire or a fault. The Soft-Chip Mono Series digital panel comes in 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 zones, so start by counting the floors, wings or rooms you want reported separately.
Each zone shows Fire, Open, Short and Isolate, so the panel reports a fire as well as a cut or shorted zone wire, using a 4K7 end of line. Controls cover lamp test, evacuate, silence (fire, fault or power fault) and reset. It runs on an AC 220 supply with two 12 V 7Ah batteries for backup, and gives 24 V DC outputs for detectors (twisted wire required) and hooters.
Options on the digital panel include a real time clock (RTC), data logging, PC interface, data over TCP/IP, AHU tripping, BMS and access control links. Soft-Chip states that the panel follows IS 2189:1999, the fire alarm code of practice, lists IS 15908, CE and RoHS, is ERTL (North) tested, and is compatible with CE, UL, FM and LPCB listed devices and sensors.
To watch the panel from a phone, choose the smart fire alarm system: a cloud based panel with 8 zone health monitoring, an RJ45 LAN port and built-in Wi-Fi, app and on-site controls, password protection and a healthy or fault time log on the cloud, refreshed in less than 60 sec. FPS supplies, installs, tests and commissions both panels in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
