RRL means reinforced rubber lined: a delivery hose with a rubber lining inside a woven jacket, used between the landing valve and the branch pipe. Balaji's RRL hoses are 63 mm (2.5 inch), with a 50 mm Type A hose also listed, in 15 m or 30 m lengths, and several listings come with male and female couplings, in stainless steel on some. Several listings describe the hose as ISI marked to IS 636, the Indian standard for these hoses.
Balaji offers Type A hose, in white, and Type B hose, in red. Follow the type named in your approved drawings or tender. Balaji's listings give differing pressure figures (working pressure from 10 bar to 35 bar, and a 60 bar burst pressure on one), so we confirm the rating against IS 636 before supply.
First aid hose reels use a smaller hose. Balaji lists 19 mm and 25 mm hose reel hose, described as thermoplastic or rubber, in 30 m lengths, Type 2, with a working pressure of 10 bar.
Sprinkler drop hoses and droppers connect sprinkler heads to the sprinkler pipeline at ceiling level. Balaji lists a 1 inch flexible sprinkler hose of 1.2 m and a 1 inch dropper for pendant or upright sprinklers, in a silver zinc plated finish.
