A first aid hose reel keeps a small hose connected to the water supply, ready to run out and use on a fire in its early stage. Balaji sells its hose reel drums as complete sets in 20 mm (19 mm hose) and 25 mm sizes with 30 m of thermoplastic or TPU hose, on a red powder coated mild steel drum for wall mounting. Working pressure is listed at 10 or 12 bar, and one 20 mm set includes a brass shut off nozzle.
Balaji names two patterns, the 20 mm Bombay type and the 25 mm Ahmadabad pattern complete set, and lists both swinging and manual reels. Choose the size your fire drawings call for. Certification is stated on only some listings, so tell us if you need ISI marked drums.
A hose box stores the fire hose and branch pipe beside the hydrant or landing valve. Single door boxes are 450 x 450 x 250 mm (400 x 400 x 200 mm also listed), and double door boxes 750 x 600 x 250 mm (725 x 550 x 200 mm in FRP); a double door box holds two 15 m hoses and a branch pipe. All have a transparent acrylic front.
Choose mild steel (22 gauge sheet, red, powder or colour coated) or FRP (fibre reinforced plastic), which Balaji describes as rust proof and termite proof. The FRP single door box has UV resistant paint and a lockable system.
