A landing valve, also called a hydrant valve, is the valve on a hydrant main or wet riser where the fire hose is connected. Balaji's valves have a 63 mm outlet and a hand wheel. Choose a single headed valve for one hose line, or a double headed valve where two hose lines must run from one point.
Balaji's single headed valves come in three builds. Stainless steel valves (SS 202 or SS 304) are listed with a flow test of 1800 LPM at 7 kgf/cm2 and a hydraulic test at 21 kgf/cm2. Cast iron body valves have stainless steel working parts, an 80 mm flanged inlet, a rubber seat and a cast iron hand wheel, with a working pressure of 7 or 10 kg/cm2 (PN 10, a nominal rating of 10 bar, on some listings). A gunmetal commercial heavy valve is offered for heavy manufacturing units and industrial sites.
Several listings name IS 5290, the Indian standard for landing valves, and the double headed valves follow the IS 5290 Type B design. ISI marking is stated on only some listings, and Balaji's listing names do not always match the material in its tables (for example a valve named stainless steel with a cast iron body), so tell us your specification and we confirm the body material and marking with Balaji before supply.
Double headed valves have a cast iron body, an 80 mm flanged inlet and two 63 mm female instantaneous outlets with lugs, with flows listed from 900 up to 1800 LPM, a body test at 21 kg/cm2 and a seat test at 14 kg/cm2. A 63 mm stainless steel hydrant adapter is also available.
