A sprinkler is a heat activated nozzle on the sprinkler pipework: when the bulb in it reaches its rated temperature, it opens and sprays water on the fire below. Balaji's standard rating is 68°C, and a 57°C version is also listed. The bulbs are listed as standard response, mostly 5 mm, with a 3 mm bulb on some sidewall listings.
Choose the pattern by where the pipe runs. Pendent sprinklers hang down from the pipe, for example below a false ceiling; upright sprinklers point up from the pipe; sidewall sprinklers are fixed on a wall and throw water out into the room, for places where ceiling piping is not possible.
Balaji's sprinklers are brass, in natural or chrome plated finish, with ½ inch BSPT or NPT threads, and a zinc pendent sprinkler is also listed. One upright listing gives 15 mm and 20 mm nominal sizes and a discharge area of 9 to 21 m², and one sidewall listing gives K factors of K-80 and K-115 and a maximum working pressure of 12 bar. Sprinkler type and spacing come from the system design, so share your drawings and we match the heads.
Medium velocity water spray nozzles are brass nozzles with a ½ inch thread for water spray systems. Balaji lists them at 6 bar, weighing 200 to 500 g, packed 12 pieces to a box.
