First pick the agent. Pure watermist uses water only, with no chemicals, and Ceasefire lists it for Class A, F and electrically started fires where clean up matters. Foam mist adds a small dose of foaming agent to also cover Class B liquids: Ceasefire uses 1% Telesolve (0.5% in its green version), Minimax offers a water and foam unit in 9 L rated 4A, 233B, 75F, and Kanex combines water mist with AR-AFFF in droplets as fine as 25 microns.
Then choose the format. Ceasefire hand held stored pressure units come in stainless steel in 2, 3, 6 and 9 ltr, and its cartridge type 3 and 6 ltr units build pressure only when used. For first responders and places wheeled units cannot reach, backpacks include the Ceasefire Action-Pac 13 ltr with 60 seconds of continuous discharge, the Ceasefire CAFS 10 ltr, the Minimax 9 L CAFS with a 14 m jet, and Savemax 9 and 12 litre CAFS.
For large areas, trolley units include the Ceasefire Quad in 20, 45 and 90 ltr (IS 16018) or 25, 50 and 100 ltr (EN 1866), Ceasefire CAFS 50 ltr, and Savemax CAFS 45 and 50 litre for a two person crew. Standalone systems go further: the Ceasefire TetraQuad has four 62.5 ltr cylinders, 250 ltr in all, with a 30 m hose and no need for electricity, and the Kanex 250 litre water mist cum CAFS system is rated 55A:233B-IVB with a jet range of 20 to 22 m.
Check ratings and approvals against your NOC. The Ceasefire EN watermist 2 ltr is rated 5A, 25F, the Ceasefire high pressure CAFS 10 ltr 34A, 233B and the Minimax CAFS backpack 55A 233B; Ceasefire BIS models are certified to IS 15683, the Kanex mobile unit to IS 15683:2006 with ISI and CE, and Savemax units are CPWD approved. For fire teams, Ceasefire also offers the Lancepro lance for sealed rooms and Morph nozzle guns that turn hydrant or fire truck water into mist.
