How to choose
A Notifier wireless system has two parts. The FWSG gateway sits on the panel's SLC loop (signalling line circuit), is powered by it and talks to the panel in the FlashScan protocol, while it talks to the wireless sensors over a proprietary wireless protocol. The sensors send their readings through a wireless mesh to the gateway, and the gateway passes them to the panel when asked.
Pick the sensor type for each room. The FWD-200P-IN is a photoelectronic smoke sensor; the FWD-200PH-IN adds a fixed heat alarm at 57.2°C per UL 521. For heat detection, the FWH-200FIX135-IN gives a 57.2°C fixed alarm and the FWH-200ROR135-IN adds a rate-of-rise sensor to the same fixed alarm. The heat sensors are approved by UL 521 for open area protection at 50 foot spacing.
All sensors set their address with rotary decade switches, show status on two LEDs, fit a standard Notifier base and have a battery life of more than one year. The gateway works in the lower ISM band, 865 to 867 MHz, from an external supply of 20 V to 30 V, at 0°C to 49°C.
