An aspirating smoke detector draws air from the protected area through a network of sampling pipes into a sensitive detection chamber, giving very early warning. The Notifier VESDA-E VEP, VES and VEU detectors are 2nd Generation models with an integrated SLC (signalling line circuit) module, so they talk to a Notifier fire alarm control panel directly over the SLC loop without a separate interface.
Choose the VESDA-E model by the job. The VEP comes in one-pipe and four-pipe models. The VES offers sector addressability for up to four sectors, an adaptive scan threshold and flow fault thresholds per port. The VEU has an ultra-wide sensitivity range and is backward compatible with VLP. All three use Flair detection technology, multi-stage filtration with clean air barriers, four alarm levels, a smart filter that tracks dust count and remaining filter life, and a 20,000 event log.
For air ducts, the DNR photoelectric duct smoke detector is rated for air velocities from 100 to 4,000 ft/min, adjusts to square and rectangular mounting and uses tool-free plug-in sampling tubes. It works from -20°C to 70°C.
The VESDA-E models list UL 268, UL 268A and ULC-S529 among their standards; the DNR is UL and ULC listed and FM approved. FPS supplies, installs, commissions and maintains them in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
