An addressable reflector-type linear optical beam detector, with the transmitter and receiver in one unit, for large open areas with high ceilings.
How to choose
A beam smoke detector sends a beam of light across a space and raises an alarm when smoke blocks part of it. Both Notifier models here are single-ended reflector types: the transmitter and receiver sit in one unit and the beam bounces back off a reflector, so only one powered device has to be installed and aligned. Both are addressable and work with Notifier panels in FlashScan or CLIP mode.
Check the distance to cover. The FSB-200 covers 5 to 70 m as standard and 70 to 100 m with the optional BEAMLRK kit. The FS-OSI-RI covers 5 to 100 m as standard, with no separate long-range kit.
Check the building and the panel. The FS-OSI-RI tolerates building movement of plus or minus 1°, does not alarm when saturated by sunlight, has a built-in imager heater and is aligned with the help of directional LED arrows; it works with the NFW-50X, NFW-100X, NFS-320, NFS2-640 and NFS2-3030. The FSB-200 is aligned with an optical sight and a two-digit signal strength meter, has a paintable cover and works with the NFS-3030, NFS2-3030, NFS-640, NFS2-640 and NFS-320 as well as legacy addressable panels.
