Notifier Addressable Interface and Control Modules in Bhopal

Fire Protection System (FPS), a Notifier dealer in Bhopal, supplies Notifier intelligent addressable modules: monitor, zone, dual monitor, control, relay, releasing, firefighter phone, analogue 4 to 20 mA input and fault isolator modules, plus the INSPIRE TM-8 transmitter module. FPS installs, programs and maintains them across Madhya Pradesh.

Where to use Interfaces & Modules

  • Bringing conventional heat detectors, pull stations and other contact devices onto an addressable loop
  • Connecting a zone of two-wire conventional smoke detectors to an addressable panel (FZM-1)
  • Switching fans, dampers and other auxiliary equipment on alarm (FRM-1, FDRM-1)
  • Driving horns, strobes and bells powered from an external supply (FCM-1)
  • Agent and water releasing systems (FCM-1-REL)
  • Firefighter telephone circuits (FTM-1)
  • Gas, temperature and air speed sensors with a 4 to 20 mA output (FMM-4-20)
  • Protecting SLC loops against wire-to-wire short circuits (ISO-X)
  • Signalling to a remote station or municipal fire alarm box (TM-8)

Notifier FZM-1 Zone Interface Module

Zone moduleTwo-wire detectorsClass A or B

A standard-sized zone module that monitors and supervises compatible two-wire, 24 volt smoke detectors on a Style D (Class A) or Style B (Class B) circuit and reports the zone to the panel.

How to choose

An addressable module connects a device that has no address of its own, such as a switch, a relay or a circuit of conventional detectors, to the SLC loop (signalling line circuit) of a Notifier intelligent panel, so the panel can identify, monitor or control it. Most of these modules set their address with rotary switches, from 01 to 159 in FlashScan mode, Notifier's high speed loop protocol.

For inputs, choose a monitor module. The FMM-1 supervises a circuit of dry-contact devices, such as conventional heat detectors and pull stations, with Class A wiring, and the FMM-101 is a smaller Class B version that fits inside devices or junction boxes. The FZM-1 monitors and powers one zone of two-wire, 24 volt smoke detectors. The FDM-1 gives two independent Class B input circuits at two consecutive addresses, and the FDRM-1 combines two relays with two Class B monitor inputs. The FMM-4-20 lets the NFS2-3030 panel read industry-standard 4 to 20 mA sensors.

For outputs, the FCM-1 control module supervises wiring to devices such as horns, strobes or bells that take power from an external supply, with Class A or Class B supervision, while the FRM-1 gives a dry-contact output for fans, dampers and control equipment. The FCM-1-REL releasing module uses a redundant protocol: it must be armed and then confirmed within a 3 second window before it operates, and it can drive one 24 V or two 12 V solenoids. The FTM-1 monitors and controls a circuit of up to two firefighter phones.

Add ISO-X fault isolator modules to protect the loop: when a short circuit occurs, part of the loop keeps working, and the module resets itself once the short is cleared. On INSPIRE systems, the TM-8 provides remote station outputs or a municipal box trip. FPS supplies, installs, programs and maintains Notifier modules in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a monitor module and a control module?
A monitor module brings an input, such as a switch or a circuit of conventional detectors, onto the addressable loop. A control module, such as the FCM-1, switches or supervises an output circuit like horns, strobes or bells.
Can conventional smoke detectors be connected to a Notifier addressable panel?
Yes. The FZM-1, a zone interface module, monitors and supervises compatible two-wire, 24 volt smoke detectors on a Style D (Class A) or Style B (Class B) circuit and reports them to the panel as normal, open or alarm.
Which Notifier module is used for suppression release?
The FCM-1-REL releasing control module. It must be armed with a pair of signals and confirmed within a 3 second window before it activates, and it supervises the wiring to the solenoid.
What does a fault isolator module do?
The ISO-X protects the system against wire-to-wire short circuits on the SLC loop, letting part of the loop keep working during a short. It resets automatically once the short is corrected.
Can a Notifier panel read gas or temperature sensors?
Yes. The FMM-4-20 analogue input module lets the NFS2-3030 panel monitor linear-scale 4 to 20 mA sensors, such as gas, temperature and air speed sensors, and it is FM 6320 approved for gas detection.
Does FPS supply and program Notifier modules in Bhopal?
Yes. FPS is a Notifier dealer and supplies, installs, programs and maintains Notifier addressable modules in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh. Prices are on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
