How to choose
NOTI-FIRE-NET is Notifier's network that links fire alarm control panels, network control annunciators and the DVC voice system so they work as one system. Each panel or node needs a network communication module. The High-Speed HS-NCM modules connect NFS-320, NFS-640, NFS2-640, NFS-3030 and NFS2-3030 panels, NCA and NCA-2 annunciators and the DVC to High-Speed NOTI-FIRE-NET; the NCM-W and NCM-F connect NFS-640, NFS-3030 and NFS2-3030 panels and NCA units to standard NOTI-FIRE-NET at 312.5 Kbaud. All support NFPA Style 4 (Class B) or Style 7 (Class A) operation and regenerate the data at each node.
Pick the module by the cable between nodes. Use HS-NCM-W or NCM-W for twisted-pair wire, HS-NCM-MF for multi-mode fibre, HS-NCM-SF for single-mode fibre and NCM-F for fibre-optic cable. Where one node joins two kinds of cable, the HS-NCM-WMF links wire and multi-mode fibre, the HS-NCM-WSF links wire and single-mode fibre, and the HS-NCM-MFSF links multi-mode and single-mode fibre. Fibre links are immune to environmental noise and their optical isolation prevents ground loops.
To monitor and control the network from a computer, the NFN gateways (NFN-GW-PC-W, NFN-GW-PC-F and the embedded NFN-GW-EM-3) connect ONYXWorks workstations to NOTI-FIRE-NET, with acknowledge, silence, reset and panel programming. ONYXWorks runs on Windows 10 and supports up to 200 gateways with 200 nodes each and up to 50 remote users; ONYXWorks Lite monitors up to four Notifier panels.
