Fire Protection System (FPS), a Karam supplier in Bhopal, supplies Karam hearing protection across Madhya Pradesh: disposable foam ear plugs, washable reusable plugs, and standard, foldable and helmet mounted ear muffs.
Single use polyurethane foam ear plugs with a tapered, slow expanding shape that fits all ear canal sizes, for long periods in medium noise. Offered uncorded (EP01) or with a nylon or cotton cord (EP02(A)) that keeps the pair together and helps prevent loss.
Washable, reusable ear plugs with a soft thermoplastic elastomer body and a three flange mushroom shape that fits most ear sizes. Choose the uncorded EP03(M), the EP04(M) with a cord so the plugs can hang around the neck, or either one packed in a carry case for clean storage.
Light ear muffs with ABS cups, soft cushioned pads that seal around the ear and a headband with three adjustment positions. Karam lists them for airports, excavation sites, generator rooms and high frequency welding.
Ear muffs with a black plastic headband that folds small enough for a pocket or storage bay, so they stay dust free between uses. Soft cushioned pads and a three position headband give a close fit for long wear.
Heavy duty foldable ear muffs with extra thick cups, made for medium to heavy industrial work where a high level of noise reduction is needed. The plastic headband folds for compact storage on the move.
Ear muffs that mount on a safety helmet with a simple snap on and snap off fitting, and a spring loaded stand off arm that keeps the cups sealed against the ears. Suited to construction, agriculture, heavy machinery and other industrial work where helmets are worn.
Very light ear muffs from Karam's Frontier range, with an ergonomic shape, a dielectric, metal free construction and an adjustable headband that fits all face profiles. Karam lists them for manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, airports, railways and mining.
Ear plugs sit inside the ear canal; ear muffs cover the whole ear. Karam's EP01 and EP02(A) plugs are single use polyurethane foam with a tapered shape that expands slowly, which makes them easier to insert correctly, and the maker lists them for long periods in medium noise. The EP03(M) and EP04(M) plugs are the reusable choice: a soft thermoplastic elastomer body with three flanges that can be washed and worn again, with or without a cord, and also offered in a carry case.
SNR, the Single Number Rating, is one figure in decibels (dB) that sums up how much noise a protector cut in laboratory tests. Karam lists 34 dB for its foam plugs and the EP24 High dB Foldable muff, 33 dB for the EP22 Foldable Deluxe, 30 dB for the reusable plugs, 27 dB for the EP21 Classic and the FT201 Frontier muff, and 25 dB for the EP23 helmet muff. Choose enough reduction for the noise at your site, and remember that real protection depends on a good fit and on wearing the protector for the whole time you are in noise.
Among the ear muffs, the EP21 Classic weighs 180 g and has a three position headband; the EP22 and EP24 have headbands that fold for compact, dust free storage; the EP23 snaps on and off a safety helmet and is stated to EN 352-3:2020, the part of the standard for helmet mounted muffs; and the FT201 Frontier has a dielectric, metal free build. EN 352-1 covers ear muffs and EN 352-2 covers ear plugs. Prices are on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
