In 1973 the brand passed to Steelage, which was renamed Gunnebo India Ltd in 2005; the company is now Gunnebo India Private Limited, with its registered office in Thane, and is a subsidiary of the Gunnebo Group of Sweden. Since 2012, Minimax fire extinguishers and accessories have been made at Gunnebo India's factory in Halol, Gujarat, which has a lab and a fire room for development and quality testing and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. Approvals stated by the maker include BIS, EN, CE and IRS, depending on the model.
