A branch pipe fits on the end of the fire hose and shapes the water into a jet. Aaag's short branch pipes (G112 in gunmetal, S112 in stainless steel) are ISI approved and take interchangeable smooth bore tips of 6, 12, 16, 20 or 25 mm. The long branch pipe (G111) and the hand controlled branch pipe (G113, to IS 952), which adds a shut off, take the same tips. All three have a 63 mm male instantaneous inlet (screw thread optional), a 7 bar working pressure and a 21 bar test pressure.
Handline nozzles give jet, spray and shut off from one nozzle, with a toothed bumper for a fuller fog. On the Select-O-Flow (G118 in chromium plated gunmetal, and the C118 combo) the operator picks 150, 225, 350, 450 or 600 LPM at 7 bar during use, and the aluminium Select-O-Max 600 (A125) offers 200 to 600 LPM in five steps; both reach 35 m. The Unilite (A119) has one fixed flow, calibrated between 160 and 600 LPM as required, and the Automax 500 (A124) adjusts its outlet by itself to hold a steady pressure, at 500 LPM and a 34 m range.
For general fire fighting, the triple action nozzle (G116 gunmetal, S116 stainless steel, to IS 2871) gives a hollow jet, a spray or shut off with a twist of the bumper, and the fog nozzle (G114, to IS 952) switches between a 500 LPM solid jet and a 225 LPM dense fog. Diffuser (navy type) nozzles to IS 2871 are used on ships and offshore, with an instantaneous, Nunan or 1.25 inch BSP screwed inlet, and the fog applicator gives a 4.5 m wide low velocity fog for spaces on ships where entry is restricted.
First aid hose reels need a small nozzle with a 19 mm or 25 mm serrated inlet: Aaag offers jet action nozzles in gunmetal or stainless steel (G126A, G126C) and jet and spray nozzles in metal (G126B) or ABS plastic (P126B), giving 27 LPM (19 mm) or 32 LPM (25 mm) at 3 bar. Special nozzles include water curtain nozzles (G120 at 500 LPM, and the stainless steel Jumbo Curtain at 900 LPM), a revolving nozzle (G115, to IS 906), a piercing nozzle (S128) and flat spray, jet and oil fire tips for play pipes, changed with the galvanised nozzle spanner.
