Start with the kitchen. For hotels, restaurants and canteens, choose one of the commercial systems. The watermist and wet chemical systems are LPCB certified under LPS 1223, the LPCB standard for kitchen suppression, and protect the full length of the hood together with the duct and plenum (the space behind the grease filters). The Ultra-X is certified to UL 300 and adheres to NFPA 96/17A guidelines. For home kitchens, the residential systems are BSI tested and built so that the detector, nozzles and cylinder stay out of sight.
Then choose the agent. Watermist breaks water into a fine mist (under 70 microns on the commercial system) that cools the area and turns to steam, leaving no chemicals behind. Wet chemical forms a foam blanket on burning oil and cools it below its self ignition point, and its residue can be used to clean the cooktops afterwards; Ceasefire's commercial wet chemical agent is 90% water and 99% biodegradable. The LPCB and residential systems are rated for Class A, B and F fires, where Class F means cooking oil and fat fires.
For long or mixed cooking lines, the Ultra-X offers electrical, mechanical or hybrid detection and activation, group, continuous or spot protection, and containers from 14 ltr to 64 ltr, and it can be set up to cut power to electric cooking appliances when it operates. The commercial systems are stored pressure type, which Ceasefire notes needs less maintenance than cartridge or pump based systems. FPS supplies, installs and maintains Ceasefire kitchen systems in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
