First decide on the agent. MAP 90 powder means mono ammonium phosphate at 90 percent purity and covers Class A solids, Class B liquids and Class C gases as well as live electrical risks. MAP 50 powder has 50 percent MAP content and is used in the RQ series module. Clean agents such as FE-36, HFC 236fa and FK-5-1-12 leave no residue after discharge, so they suit servers, panels, laboratories and stored records where powder would damage equipment or paperwork.
Next, match the capacity to the room. Kanex modular units come in 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 15 kg in the powder and FE-36 and HFC lines, and 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg in the FK-5-1-12 line. Cover is based on the volume of the enclosure and the layout of the risk, so tell us the room size and what is inside and our team will work out the number of modules and the mounting points.
Then pick the temperature sensing bulb. Kanex offers bulbs rated from 57 degrees C to 107 degrees C. A lower rating reacts sooner, a higher rating avoids nuisance discharge in rooms that are already warm, such as spaces above machinery or near ovens.
Finally, consider the body finish. A stainless steel body version of the FK-5-1-12 line is available for clean rooms, food areas, coastal or humid sites and places where appearance matters. All units run on nitrogen pressure and work during a power failure, so no electrical supply or backup is required.
