Ravel Fireman Telephone Master Console
The control room unit of the Ravel fireman telephone system. It calls remote stations, takes calls from them and can hold a conference call.
Fire Protection System (FPS), a Ravel dealer in Bhopal, supplies the Ravel fireman telephone system: the master console for the fire control room, a wall mounted telephone handset station and stainless steel telephone jacks. FPS installs, tests and maintains the system across Madhya Pradesh.

A fireman telephone system is a separate wired telephone network that lets fire fighters and fire wardens talk to the fire control room during an emergency. In the Ravel system the master console sits in the control room. It can call any remote station, remote stations can call it, and it has a conference call facility so several points can speak together. Ravel states that the system complies with BS 5839 Part 9, the British code of practice for emergency voice communication systems.
For the remote points, choose between a fixed handset station and telephone jacks. The handset station is a telephone handset with a coiled cord in a wall mounted MS box. The telephone jacks have a stainless steel enclosure, can be flush or wall mounted, and take a 4.5 mm or 6.5 mm (2 terminal) jack or an RJ11 plug. Any number of jacks can be daisy chained, but only one can be used at a time on each zone. The EK-751J jack adds an addressable monitor module and has a larger front plate than the EK-750J.
On wiring and power: the remote stations are wired radially on 2 core cable, and Ravel's specification also allows loop wiring on 4 core cable, in both cases enhanced fire rated cable. The master console monitors this wiring for open and short circuit faults. It runs on 220 V AC mains with two 12 V, 7 Ah standby batteries. FPS supplies, installs and maintains Ravel fireman telephone systems in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
