How to choose

A manual call point is the unit fitted on escape routes and at exits that lets a person raise the fire alarm by hand. First match it to the panel. The RE-717M connects to Ravel's multi loop addressable system and the RE-737M to Ravel's single loop addressable system, so the panel shows which call point was operated. The RE-716MR is for conventional, zone wired panels.

Both addressable call points are certified by Ravel to EN 54-11, the European standard for manual call points, as Type A for indoor use: a single action on the element raises the alarm. Both can be reset with an element kit and can be flush or surface mounted. They differ in addressing and isolation: the RE-717M is addressed with an 8 way DIP switch, while the RE-737M is soft addressed with a programming tool and has a built in isolator that keeps a wiring short from affecting the rest of the loop.

Ravel also lists a manual pull station, a painted die cast unit with a lift and pull action and a break glass cover, for both its multi loop and conventional systems. It comes as a single action (RE716P-1T) or dual action (RE716P-1TLP (R)) version, and Ravel provides a UL certificate for it. FPS supplies, installs and maintains Ravel call points and pull stations in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
