Notifier B501-WHITE Flangeless Detector Mounting Base, 4 inch
A 4 inch standard European flangeless mounting base for a plain detector position, UL/ULC listed.
A detector base is the ceiling fitting that carries the wiring and holds the detector head, so the head can be removed for testing or replacement without disturbing the cables. FPS supplies standard, isolator, relay, sounder, heater and intrinsically safe detector bases from Notifier, Morley by Honeywell, System Sensor, Apollo, Ceasefire, Agni, Bosch and Siemens in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
A 4 inch standard European flangeless mounting base for a plain detector position, UL/ULC listed.
A sounder base that takes the same address as its detector but uses its own device type on the loop, and recognises the System Sensor synchronisation protocol.
A sounder base that uses its detector's address with its own device type, so the panel can switch on one sounder or a group of sounders.
An intelligent isolator base for detectors, 6.2 inch in diameter, for loops that need short circuit isolation at the detector position.
The plug-in base for Morley Advanced intelligent sensor ranges, in the ivory version. The standard MI-B501AP is white and the BK version is black.
The standard base for System Sensor 500, 200, 200+ and 200 Advanced intelligent sensors, with a tamper-resistant option and a break-off address tag.
A two-wire heated base for System Sensor 200 analogue addressable detectors, used where frost or condensation could otherwise cause false alarms.
An isolator base for System Sensor 200 analogue addressable detectors that stops a short circuit from disabling the whole loop and restores the loop automatically once the fault is fixed.
A plug-in base for System Sensor smoke and heat detector heads in 2-wire systems, with screw terminals for power and remote annunciator connections.
A universal detector base that fits all Apollo detectors in the Soteria, Discovery and XP95 ranges. It supports isolated and non-isolated devices and has a wide interior for easy access to cables and terminals.
A white flame-retardant polycarbonate mounting box for flush fitting Soteria Dimension detectors into a ceiling opening. It is held in place by self-aligning fixing tabs.
A low insertion force detector base with stainless steel contacts for quick installation, suited to the XP95 and Discovery detector ranges. It is available in white and in black.

A dedicated white polycarbonate base designed to accept only the Apollo Isolator 55000-720.
An XPERT 7 base for intrinsically safe systems that accepts only I.S. products, so a standard detector cannot be fitted by mistake.
The standard base for Series 65 conventional detectors, designed so detectors fit without force, which helps on suspended ceilings. Detectors fit one way only and can be locked with a grub screw using a 1.5 mm hexagonal screwdriver.
A Series 65 base for conventional systems that have manual call points and detector bases on the same circuit. A Schottky diode on the L1 IN and L1 OUT terminals keeps the circuit working if a detector is removed without permission; it is used with compatible control equipment.
A Series 65 base with one set of volt-free changeover (form C) contacts that change state when the detector signals an alarm, so the detector can switch other equipment.
The Orbis conventional detector base, designed to give installers an open working area with fixing holes shaped for fast mounting.
An Orbis TimeSaver base with a single-pole volt-free changeover contact for switching external equipment. The relay energises when the detector goes into alarm and stays in that state until the detector is reset.
The base for AlarmSense detectors, which can only be mounted on it, used where the detector does not need an integral sounder or sounder visual indicator. It reports a fault if a detector head is removed.
Mounting base for all Intelli-Sense detectors, 110 mm across and 16 mm deep, with device locking and remote indicator connections.
Detector base compatible with both Pro-Sense and Intelli-Sense detectors, 110 mm across and 16 mm deep.
The standard surface mounting base for FYRLAAST smoke, heat and multi sensor detectors.
A detector base with a built in loop isolator that monitors for short circuit faults and resets automatically once the fault is removed.
A white plastic detector base for surface or flush cable entry, listed by Bosch as a base for AVENAR detector 4000 and FCP-320 detectors. The MS 400 is unbranded and the MS 400 B carries the Bosch logo.
A detector base with a built-in change-over relay, listed by Bosch as an accessory for AVENAR detector 4000 detectors, for detector points that must switch a local device.
The LSN base that Bosch states is required to install FAP-520 fire detectors.
The relay version of the FAA-500 base, used to install FAP-520 detectors in special applications such as emergency door control in line with DIBt rules.
A white base for the OOH740-A9-Ex dual-optical detector used in potentially explosive areas, holding the detector with a snap fastener.
A universal base for all Cerberus PRO FD720 point detectors with a loop contact that keeps the detector line closed when no detector is mounted.
A universal base with a detector base seal and screwless terminals for all Cerberus PRO FD720 addressable point detectors.
An addressable detector base in impact-proof plastic with one micro terminal for screened cable, for Sinteso detectors.
A flat base for Sinteso detectors with addressable signal processing, in impact-proof plastic, also offered in other colours.
A conventional (collective) base with a continuity diode for all Siemens 110-series point detectors, which selects parameter set 1 in the detector.
The base must match the detector range, because each maker designs its bases for its own heads. Apollo's XPERT 8 base fits all Soteria, Discovery and XP95 detectors, the XPERT 7 base suits XP95 and Discovery, and the Series 65, Orbis TimeSaver and AlarmSense bases serve those conventional ranges. The Agni FL-433/SB fits FYRLAAST detectors; the Bosch MS 400 suits AVENAR detector 4000 and FCP-320 detectors, while FAP-520 detectors need the FAA-500 LSN base; the Ceasefire TI-002231 fits Intelli-Sense and the TI-002270 fits both Pro-Sense and Intelli-Sense. Siemens DB721 and DB722 fit Cerberus PRO FD720 detectors, FDB221-AA and FDB222 fit Sinteso and DB110D fits Cerberus FIT 110-series detectors. The System Sensor B501AP takes Series 200 sensors, the Morley by Honeywell MI-B501AP takes the Morley Advanced intelligent ranges, and the System Sensor B401 is a plug-in base for 2-wire conventional heads.
Then choose any extra function. An isolator base cuts off only the short circuited section of a loop: the Agni FL-433/IB allows up to 70 devices between isolators, the Apollo XPERT 7 isolating base up to 20 detectors or equivalent load between isolating bases, the System Sensor B524IEFT-1 up to 99 isolators per loop, and the Notifier B224BI-WH is a 6.2 inch intelligent isolator base. A relay base lets the detector switch local equipment when it alarms: the Apollo Series 65 relay base and Bosch FAA-MSR420 have changeover (form C) contacts, the Orbis TimeSaver relay base switches up to 30 V at 1 A, and the Bosch FAA-500-R serves FAP-520 detectors in uses such as emergency door control. Notifier B200S sounder bases share the detector's address, so the panel can sound one base or a group.
Some places need a special base. To keep a circuit working while a detector is out, the Apollo Series 65 diode base serves conventional circuits that share call points and detectors, the Siemens DB110D conventional base includes a continuity diode, and the Siemens DB721 has a loop contact that keeps the detector line closed with no detector fitted. For hazardous areas, the Apollo XPERT 7 I.S. base accepts only intrinsically safe detectors and carries PESO (CCoE) and DNV.GL approvals, and the Bosch FDB201 is the base for the OOH740-A9-Ex detector used in potentially explosive areas. Where frost or condensation could cause false alarms, the System Sensor B524HTR heater base raises the sensor temperature by a few degrees, and for flush ceilings the Apollo Soteria Dimension mounting box sets Soteria Dimension detectors into a ceiling opening.
Finally check the fitting details. Most bases can lock the detector against unauthorised removal, for example the Apollo Series 65 with a grub screw and a 1.5 mm hexagonal screwdriver, the System Sensor B501AP by breaking off a plastic tab, and the Bosch MS 400 and FAA-MSR420 with a lock or clip. Sizes and colours differ: the Ceasefire bases are 110 mm across and 16 mm deep, the Notifier B501-WHITE is a 4 inch flangeless base, and the Morley by Honeywell MI-B501AP and System Sensor B501AP come in white, ivory and black. Notifier bases are UL/ULC listed and FM approved, while Apollo, Bosch and Siemens bases list approvals such as LPCB, VdS, CPR and UKCA, so match what your project specifies.
