HD Fire Gas Fire Suppression Systems in Bhopal

Fire Protection System (FPS), an HD Fire dealer in Bhopal, supplies two HD gas suppression systems: HD-INERTSYS, an inert gas system in which one gas bank can serve several protected areas, and HD-RAKSHAK, a CO2 system that works inside a single cabinet. We help size the system and install and maintain it across Madhya Pradesh.

Where to use Gas Fire Suppression Systems

  • Hazard areas that hold flammable materials
  • Areas with electrical equipment, since inert gases do not conduct electricity
  • Sites with several protected areas that can share one gas bank through selector valves
  • Projects where the specification asks for a VdS approved inert gas system
  • Single cabinets and enclosures that need their own in-cabinet CO2 system
  • Cabinets where a heat-sensing detection tube can be run close to the equipment inside

How to choose

Start with what you are protecting. HD-INERTSYS is an engineered system for hazard areas: it stores inert gas in 80 and 140 litre cylinders at 200 bar or 300 bar, chosen according to the volume and the gas concentration the area needs, and HD works out the design with VdS calculation software. HD-RAKSHAK is meant for a single cabinet, with its own CO2 cylinder, detection tube and nozzles inside the enclosure.

For HD-INERTSYS, choose the agent. IG55 is half argon and half nitrogen, IG541 is 52% nitrogen, 40% argon and 8% carbon dioxide, IG100 is pure nitrogen and IG01 is pure argon. All four are colourless, odourless and electrically non conductive, and their density is close to that of air. The system can be released manually, pneumatically or electro-magnetically, and selector or directional valves let one gas bank protect more than one area.

For HD-RAKSHAK, the detection is built in. A heat-sensing tube (UL Listed) runs through the cabinet and is kept charged with CO2 taken from the system cylinder itself, so no separate nitrogen cylinder is needed to charge it. It works with a brass automatic valve at an operating pressure of 60 bar and discharges through brass or stainless steel diffuser nozzles. The cylinder size is picked to suit the cabinet.

Send us the room or cabinet dimensions and what is inside, and we will propose the system. Prices on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.

Frequently asked questions

What is an inert gas fire suppression system?
It protects an area by discharging an inert gas such as argon, nitrogen or a blend of them. HD states that these gases are colourless, odourless and electrically non conductive, with a density about the same as air.
What do IG55, IG541, IG100 and IG01 mean?
They are the inert gas agents HD-INERTSYS is designed for: IG55 is 50% argon and 50% nitrogen, IG541 is 52% nitrogen, 40% argon and 8% carbon dioxide, IG100 is nitrogen and IG01 is argon.
Can one HD-INERTSYS gas bank protect more than one area?
Yes. HD offers the system with selector or directional valves, so a common gas bank can be directed to the area where the fire is.
How does the HD-RAKSHAK CO2 system detect a fire?
A UL Listed heat-sensing tube runs inside the cabinet and is charged with CO2 from the system cylinder. A fire at the tube triggers the brass automatic valve, which releases CO2 through the diffuser nozzles.
Does FPS install and maintain HD suppression systems?
Yes. FPS supplies, installs and maintains HD Fire suppression systems in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh. Prices are on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
