First decide between water and foam. The Varsha 30, 40, 40U, 50 and 60 are fixed gallonage nozzles, meaning each is set to deliver one steady flow; they throw water and can also act as non-aspirating foam nozzles, which means no air is drawn in at the nozzle. The HF models (HF30, HF40, HF40U, HF4V, HF50 and HF60) are water cum foam nozzles that are self-inducting: they pull foam concentrate into the water stream themselves through a clear PVC pick-up hose with a stainless steel dip tube.
Then match the nozzle inlet and flow to the monitor. The Varsha water range runs from the 2.5 inch Varsha 30 (1500 to 2850 lpm) and 3 inch Varsha 40 (1500 to 3030 lpm) to the 4 inch Varsha 50 (3030 to 7575 lpm) and the 6 inch flanged Varsha 60 (5680 to 12500 lpm). Their flow is factory set at 6.9 bar (100 psi) and HD states it can be changed for other pressures up to 12 bar if required. The NW solid stream nozzles use a 3 inch BSP female inlet (NW 500, NW 700) or a 4 inch one (NW 1000).
Check the approval your project needs. Varsha 40, 50, 60 and the NW solid stream nozzles are FM Approved. Varsha 40U and HF40U are UL Listed with the HD VAJRA 331 and VAJRA331-S monitors, and Varsha HF4V and HF50 are UL Listed with the VARUN 443 monitor. A UL listing holds only for the monitor and nozzle pair named in it.
For hose lines, the CG handline nozzle works at 3.5 to 7 bar (50 to 100 psi) and can be supplied with NH, BS336 or Storz inlet connections to suit your hoses. Prices on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
