For isolation, choose between butterfly and gate valves. HD butterfly valves use a rotating disc in a compact, light body, come in wafer, lugged and grooved types from 2 to 12 inch, and carry an integral tamper switch that can report a closed valve to the fire alarm system. HD OS&Y (outside screw and yoke) gate valves lift a gate clear of the flow, so pressure loss is minimal when open, and the rising stem shows at a glance whether the valve is open. Buried non-rising stem (NRS) gate valves are operated and checked through an HD post indicator. Gate valve flanges are to ANSI B16.1 or AWWA, or BS EN 1092 PN16, where PN16 is the flange pressure class.
For flow control, the swing check valve opens when flow pressure exceeds its cracking pressure and closes as soon as flow stops or reverses. The pressure reducing valve cuts an inlet pressure of up to 300 psi down to a steady outlet between 3.45 and 13.8 bar (50 to 200 psi), factory set at 8.5 bar and adjustable through its pilot valve. Y-type strainers have a removable cover so the screen can be cleaned without taking the body out of the line.
For monitoring and testing, HD pressure gauges read 0 to 300 psi, test and drain valves combine OFF, TEST and DRAIN in one three position ball valve with a sight glass, and the zone control manifold brings a flow switch, test drain, pressure gauge and pressure relief valve together for one sprinkler zone. A water motor gong gives an outdoor alarm when water flows.
Most of these items are UL Listed and FM Approved (the Y-type strainer is UL Listed), and the ductile iron valves and strainers are to ASTM A536 with fusion bonded epoxy coating. Prices on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
