A branch pipe is the nozzle at the end of a fire hose. The simplest are New Age's short and long branch pipes, which give a solid jet through a 15 mm, 20 mm or 25 mm tip. Where the crew needs to change the pattern, choose a jet, spray and shut off nozzle such as the 3-position nozzle, triple purpose nozzle, navy diffuser or hand controlled jet and spray; a fog nozzle to IS 952; or the combat nozzle, whose spinning teeth ring gives a wide fog curtain. The jumbo curtain nozzle throws a 180 degree water curtain, and the revolving branch pipe to IS 906 spins to spread the water.
Match the inlet to your hose coupling. Most New Age branch pipes are offered with a 2.5 inch male instantaneous inlet or 2.5 inch BSP, NPT or NH threads, and some with Storz, swivel or flanged inlets.
