An addressable detector has its own address on the detector loop, so the panel shows exactly which detector is in alarm instead of just a zone. Match the detector to the panel: Cerberus PRO FD720 detectors (OP720, OH720, HI720, HI722, OOH740, OOHC740) use C-NET, the Cerberus FIT OP360, OH360 and HI360 use C-NET, and the Sinteso FDO, FDOOT and FDT models use FDnet. The Cerberus PRO OH731 and OOH751 and the Sinteso FDOT251 and FDOOT261 are also offered, each with an optional SES version. Most models need a matching base, ordered separately.
Then choose the sensor. Optical smoke detectors (OP720, OP360, FDO241, FDO221) use light scattering to see smoke from flaming and smouldering fires. Multi-sensor detectors (OH720, OH360, OH731, FDOT251, OOH740, FDOOT241-A, FDOOT241-A9, FDOOT221) add heat sensing for better immunity to deceptive phenomena. The multi-criteria OOH751 and FDOOT261 use 4 optical sensors for multi-angle, multi-wavelength detection plus two heat sensors. The OOHC740 and FDOOTC241 add a CO sensor and analyse smoke, heat and gas for very fast response to fires that produce carbon monoxide. Heat detectors (HI720, HI722, HI360, FDT241, FDT221) suit places where smoke detection would cause false alarms.
Siemens offers several kinds of signal processing. ASA models let you pick application-specific parameter sets, ASAplus models (OOH751, FDOOT261) can switch mode and parameter set automatically without a new configuration file, and the C-LINE models (FDO221, FDOOT221, FDT221) use detection algorithms (DA). The -S versions of the OH731, OOH751, FDOT251 and FDOOT261 add Smoke Entry Supervision, which combines cover detection and grid supervision.
Standards differ by model, and each model below shows what Siemens lists, such as EN 54-7 (smoke detectors), EN 54-5 (heat detectors), EN 54-17, VdS, LPCB, DNV, MED and UKCA. FPS supplies, installs and maintains Siemens addressable detectors in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh and confirms the exact detector and base part numbers before ordering.
