How to choose
A detector base is the part fixed to the ceiling and wired to the detector line; the detector head plugs into it. The base must match the detector series. The DB721 and DB722 are for Cerberus PRO FD720 point detectors, the FDB221-AA and FDB222 are for Sinteso addressable detectors, and the DB110D is for Cerberus FIT 110-series conventional detectors.
For Cerberus PRO, the DB721 has a loop contact, so the detector line is not broken even when no detector is mounted, and large mounting slots that suit many back boxes, with two side breakouts for surface cables up to 8 mm. The DB722 is a universal base with a detector base seal and screwless terminals for all FD720 addressable point detectors.
For Sinteso, both bases use impact-proof, scratch-resistant plastic and screwless orange terminals, and their large opening lets you reuse the boreholes of an older system. The FDB221-AA adds one micro terminal for screened cable and takes surface cables up to 6 mm. The FDB222 is the flat version, also offered in other colours.
