Siemens Conventional Fire Detectors in Bhopal

Fire Protection System (FPS), a Siemens dealer in Bhopal, supplies Siemens Cerberus FIT conventional (collective) point detectors: the OP110 optical smoke detector, the OH110 multi-sensor detector and the HI110 and HI112 heat detectors. FPS installs, tests and maintains them across Madhya Pradesh.

Where to use Conventional Detectors

  • Buildings with a conventional (collective) fire alarm system and detector zones
  • Rooms where smoke from flaming or smouldering fires is the first sign of fire (OP110)
  • Areas with deceptive phenomena that can fool a plain smoke detector (OH110)
  • Dusty, dirty or damp areas where smoke detectors may give false alarms (HI110)
  • Areas with dirt or temperature swings that can trouble smoke detectors (HI112)
  • Indoor rooms within -10 to 50 °C (all four detectors)
  • Damp rooms where an IP44 rating is needed, with the wet base attachment

How to choose

Conventional, which Siemens also calls collective, means the detectors are wired in zones, and the panel shows which zone is in alarm rather than which single detector. The four Siemens Cerberus FIT 110-series detectors here run on DC 16 to 28 V and draw at most 100 μA at rest. Each plugs into a 110-series base such as the DB110D, which is ordered separately.

Pick the sensor for the room. The OP110 optical smoke detector sees smoke from flaming and smouldering fires, with a Standard and a Sensitive parameter set. The OH110 multi-sensor detector adds heat sensing for flaming fires from liquids and solids as well as smouldering fires, and suits rooms with deceptive phenomena, with Sensitive and Robust parameter sets.

Where smoke detection would give false alarms, use a heat detector. The HI110 is a differential heat detector (parameter set A1R) for areas with heavy dust, dirt or moisture. The HI112 is a static (fixed temperature) heat detector for areas with dirt or temperature swings, with parameter sets A2S and B. Siemens lists VdS and UKCA for all four, and EN 54-7 for the OP110 and OH110.

All four are rated IP40, IP42 with a detector base seal and IP44 with the wet base attachment. FPS supplies, installs and maintains Siemens conventional detectors in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh; confirm the exact part numbers with FPS before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

What does collective mean on a Siemens detector?
Collective is Siemens' word for conventional detection. The detectors are wired in zones and the panel shows the zone in alarm, not the single device.
What is a parameter set?
It is a selectable detection behaviour stored in the detector. For example, the OP110 offers parameter set 1 (Standard) and parameter set 2 (Sensitive), and the base type can select the set.
Smoke or heat detector: which should I choose?
Use the OP110 or OH110 where smoke is the first sign of fire. Use the HI110 or HI112 heat detector where dust, dirt, moisture or temperature swings could cause false alarms from a smoke detector.
Which base do these detectors need?
They fit the Siemens 110-series conventional base, such as the DB110D with a continuity diode. The base is a separate item.
Does FPS supply and install Siemens conventional detectors in Bhopal?
Yes. FPS is a Siemens dealer and supplies, installs and maintains these detectors in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh. Prices are on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
