Siemens Input/Output Modules and Panel Cards in Bhopal

Fire Protection System (FPS), a Siemens dealer in Bhopal, supplies Siemens addressable input, output and zone modules, line separators, the Ex line adapter and fire control panel cards (loop extension, line card, network module, I/O card) for Cerberus PRO, Sinteso and Cerberus FIT systems. FPS installs, programs and maintains them across Madhya Pradesh.

Where to use Interfaces & Modules

  • Monitoring sprinkler alarms and other potential-free contacts on the fire loop
  • Reporting technical states such as door or ventilation status to the panel
  • Controlling fire doors, ventilation and air conditioning from the fire system
  • Monitored control of smoke dampers, alarm devices, door magnets and extinguishing activation devices (FDCIO223)
  • Connecting the VdS interface for extinguishing activating devices (FDCIO224)
  • Bringing an existing conventional detector line onto C-NET (FDCI723)
  • Protecting stub lines from a short circuit where several branch off at one point (FDCL221)
  • Running Ex devices in potentially explosive areas from an FDnet or C-NET line (FDCL221-Ex)
  • Adding loops, I/O and networking to Siemens fire control panels (FCI2003-A1, FCL2001-A1, FCI2008-A1, FN2001-A1)

How to choose

Input and output modules connect things that are not detectors to the addressable loop. An input reads a potential-free contact, for example a sprinkler alarm or a door status, and the line to it is monitored for open circuit and short circuit with end resistors. An output switches a relay to control fire doors, ventilation or air conditioning. Each input can be set from the panel as a status or alarm message. Pick by the number of points: the FDCI221 has 1 input and the FDCI222 has 4; the FDCIO221 has 1 input and 1 output (relay AC 22 V, 2 A or monitored DC 30 V, 2 A), and the FDCIO222 has 4 inputs and 4 relay outputs rated AC 250 V / 4 A. The Cerberus FIT FDCI361 and FDCIO361 are the C-NET versions of the single input and input/output modules.

Some modules have special jobs. The FDCIO223 transponder connects collective (conventional) detector lines, including lines with a Zener barrier for explosion-hazard areas, and gives monitored control of smoke dampers, door magnets and extinguishing activation devices through 2 configurable inputs/outputs. The FDCIO224 provides the VdS interface for extinguishing activating devices. The FDCI723 zone module puts one conventional detector line (110 series, DS11, SynoLINE 300/600) onto C-NET with an external DC 24 V supply.

Line separators keep a short circuit from taking down the whole line: the FDCL221 isolates the faulty section by opening the negative conductor, so the healthy side keeps working, and the FDCL221-M packs 9 separators in one module for several stub lines or 2 separate loops. The FDCL221-Ex line adapter electrically isolates Ex and non-Ex lines for FDnet-Ex and C-NET-Ex devices.

Panel cards expand the control panel itself: the FCI2003-A1 loop extension doubles the connectable loops from 2 to 4 on an integrated line, the FCL2001-A1 line card adds 4 loops or 8 stub lines in modular panels, the FCI2008-A1 adds programmable inputs and outputs, and the FN2001-A1 SAFEDLINK module networks up to 32 panels. FPS confirms the module and card part numbers against your panel before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

What does an input/output module do in a Siemens fire alarm system?
It connects contacts and equipment that are not detectors to the addressable loop. Inputs report states such as a sprinkler alarm or door position, and outputs control fire doors, ventilation and air conditioning.
What is a line separator?
It is an electronic switch on the FDnet or C-NET line that separates the negative conductor when a short circuit occurs, so the part of the line without the fault keeps working.
Can an old conventional detector line be connected to a Siemens addressable system?
Yes. The FDCI723 zone module connects a collective or conventional detector line (110 series, DS11, SynoLINE 300/600) to C-NET, and the FDCIO223 transponder can connect collective detector lines to FDnet or C-NET.
How do I add loops to a Siemens fire control panel?
The FCI2003-A1 loop extension doubles the loops on an integrated line from 2 to 4 (not for the FC721), and the FCL2001-A1 line card adds 4 loops or 8 stub lines to modular panels.
Does FPS supply and program Siemens modules in Bhopal?
Yes. FPS is a Siemens dealer and supplies, installs, programs and maintains Siemens modules and panel cards in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh. Prices are on request: call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060.
