How to choose
A remote alarm indicator is a small lamp mounted where people can see it, which lights when a detector that is hidden or hard to reach goes into alarm. The FDAI92 is surface mounted on a wall and the FDAI93 is a flush indicator in transparent plastic for door frames, switching panels, ceiling voids or special housings. Both connect in parallel to automatic fire detectors and draw 35 mA.
The FDCAI221 is the addressable version: it sits on the FDnet or C-NET loop with its own address and can be programmed from the panel to show the source of an alarm, using two integral LEDs. Siemens lists EN 54-17, EN 54-18, VdS and UKCA for it.
For installers and service teams, the FDUL221 line tester checks installed FDnet and C-NET detector lines before a control panel is connected: it finds devices, locates line errors such as short circuits, open lines and ground faults, and scrolls from device to device showing type and serial number. The FDUL2901 Fire Field Assist is a newer line tester for Sinteso, Cerberus PRO and Cerberus FIT that works with the Building X Fire Install app and has a built-in line recorder.
