A manual call point is the unit fitted on escape routes and at exits that lets a person raise the fire alarm by hand. The System Sensor MCP2A and MUS call points share a plug and play design: all site cabling is terminated on a separate terminal block, which then plugs into the back of the call point, so there is no re-termination. Each can be set up as a break glass unit or a resettable unit simply by changing the element, and each comes with an LED indicator, a resistor and a normally open clean contact.
Choose the mounting and the contacts. Versions without a backbox (FF in the part number) are for flush mounting, and versions with a backbox (SF) are for surface mounting. The MUS3A/Y000FF/11 is a single-pole flexi-element call point and the MUS4A/Y000SF/12 is a dual-pole version; a dual-pole call point has two sets of contacts, so one operation can signal two circuits. For the MUS3A/G000SF/12 and MUS4A/G000SF/12, confirm the contact arrangement with FPS when you order. All these models are rated IP24D, 30VDC maximum and 2 Amps.
For hazardous areas, the J-SAB-M-M500KEIS is an intrinsically safe, weatherproof conventional call point for 2-wire fire alarm systems, connected to a compatible panel or through a monitoring module. It is designed to Exia II CT5 Ga for environments where combustible gas is present, and has a 360° LED and a tamper-resistant feature.
