How to choose
Modules connect things that are not detectors to an addressable fire alarm loop. An input module watches a contact, such as a waterflow switch, call point or security contact, and reports its state to the panel. An output module switches something on command from the panel, such as sounders, strobes or door closers. A conventional zone module lets a zone of ordinary conventional detectors report through an addressable loop. The addressable modules here belong to the System Sensor Series 200 Advanced range, and most set their address on rotary switches.
For single modules, choose between the M200E and M200EA series. The M200E series offers the M200XE short circuit isolator, M201E single output, M210E single input, M220E dual input and M221E dual input, single output modules on a common platform for box, panel and DIN rail mounting, with tri-colour LEDs and address switches visible in two planes. The M200EA series offers the M201EA, M210EA, M220EA and M221EA, with enlarged light pipes, the panel reading the module supply voltage, and readiness for a 48V high power loop. On the M221E and M221EA the output is rated 2A at 30VDC, resistive load. For 240VAC loads, the M201EA-240 has a latching double pole output (one normally open, one normally closed) and mounts on a 35mm DIN rail.
For conventional zones, the M210E-CZ and M210EA-CZ families connect a zone of conventional detectors to the loop and report open circuit and short circuit faults; the CZR versions also accept intrinsically safe (IS) conventional detectors. Where many points are needed in one place, the CR-6 (six relay), SC-6 (six supervised control), CZ-6 (six conventional zone) and IM-10 (ten input) multi-way modules save fitting many single modules. The M501MEA is a mini input module small enough to fit inside devices or junction boxes, and the S300ZDU shows on a 4 digit LCD the address of the Series 300 detector in alarm.
