System Sensor 6500E Addressable Reflected Beam Smoke Detector
An addressable reflector-type linear optical beam detector that connects directly to an analogue loop, for buildings with large open spaces.
Fire Protection System (FPS), a System Sensor dealer in Bhopal, supplies System Sensor reflected beam smoke detectors, the 6500 series, the OSI imaging beams and the BEAM1224, in addressable and conventional versions for large open spaces. FPS installs, aligns and maintains them across Madhya Pradesh.
An addressable reflector-type linear optical beam detector that connects directly to an analogue loop, for buildings with large open spaces.
The 6500 addressable beam detector with a servo-operated test filter, so both the optics and the electronics can be tested remotely.
A conventional reflector-type beam smoke detector that connects directly to a conventional detector circuit, for large open spaces.
The conventional 6500 beam detector with Asuretest, a servo-operated filter that tests both the optics and the electronics remotely.
A conventional reflector-type beam detector with a CMOS imaging receiver, built to tolerate building movement and strong light.
An addressable reflector-type beam detector for panels using Advanced Protocol or CLIP mode communication, supplied with an 8 inch reflector.
A 4-wire conventional single-ended reflective beam detector with an 8 inch reflector, aligned with an optical sight and a two-digit signal strength meter.
The BEAM1224 with an integral sensitivity test: a test filter on a servo motor inside the optics, which System Sensor says helps meet the annual maintenance and test requirements of NFPA 72.
A conventional single-ended imaging beam detector where only one side needs wiring, with long range as standard and a built-in imager heater.
A beam smoke detector protects a large open space with a beam of infrared light instead of many spot detectors. All the System Sensor models here are single-ended reflector types: the transmitter and receiver sit in one unit, the beam bounces back off a reflector across the room, and smoke in the path weakens the returned signal and triggers the alarm. Only the detector end needs wiring.
First match the fire alarm system. The 6500E and 6500SE connect directly to an analogue addressable loop, and the OSI-RIE-xx works with panels using Advanced Protocol or CLIP mode communication. The 6500RE, 6500RSE, OSI-RE-SS, OSI-R-SS and BEAM1224 connect to a conventional detector circuit.
Next check the distance and the test method. The 6500SE, 6500RE and 6500RSE cover 10 to 100 m; the OSI models and the BEAM1224 cover 5 to 100 m, with no separate long-range kit needed on the OSI-R-SS. The 6500SE and 6500RSE have a servo-operated test filter that tests the optics and electronics remotely, and the BEAM1224S has an integral sensitivity test that System Sensor links to the annual test requirements of NFPA 72. The OSI imaging models use a 12° field of view with directional arrows for alignment and are designed not to alarm when saturated by sunlight.
