System Sensor Conventional Fire Detectors in Bhopal

Fire Protection System (FPS), a System Sensor dealer in Bhopal, supplies System Sensor conventional detectors: ECO1000, Series 300 and Vision smoke, heat and photo-thermal detectors, the PSE/CE and HSE/CE detectors, and intrinsically safe smoke and heat detectors. FPS installs, tests and maintains them on conventional fire alarm zones across Madhya Pradesh.

Where to use Conventional Detectors

  • Offices and commercial buildings
  • Malls and retail units
  • Residential complexes and residential buildings
  • Banks
  • Schools, colleges and other educational institutions
  • Laboratories
  • Small industrial units and guest houses (ECO1000 heat detectors)
  • Kitchens and bars where smoke detectors are unsuitable (heat detectors)
  • Small, straightforward fire detection systems (Vision range)
  • Hazardous areas that need intrinsically safe detectors, via an interface module

How to choose

In a conventional system detectors are wired in zones, and the panel shows which zone is in alarm rather than which detector. First pick the sensing type. Photoelectric smoke detectors use an optical chamber that works on the light scattering principle and suit most rooms. Heat detectors suit kitchens, bars and other places where smoke or airborne contamination would cause false alarms; they come as 58°C or 78°C fixed temperature types or rate of rise types. Photo-thermal (multi-criteria) detectors combine smoke and heat sensing for a faster response to real fires and fewer unwanted alarms. EN 54-7 is the European standard for smoke detectors and EN 54-5 for heat detectors.

Then pick the range. ECO1000 detectors run on 8 to 30VDC (12 or 24VDC systems), are rated -30 to +70°C, carry EN 54 and MED 96/98/EC approvals, and have a latching LED, a remote alarm test option and bases with or without a relay. Series 300 detectors act conventionally but add intelligent features: with a hand-held tool you can set sensitivity, read the last maintenance date and chamber contamination, and test the alarm, and the S300ZDU display can show which detector is in alarm. Vision detectors run on 14 to 28VDC and are aimed at small, straightforward systems, with standard and deep bases with or without a Schottky diode.

The 2351/EIA, 2351/EC, 5351/E and 4351/E are Series 300 detectors that fit Series 100 detector bases, which helps when upgrading or extending an existing installation. The PSE/CE smoke detector and HSE/CE heat detector come with the base in the pack and can be tested in the field with a magnet. For hazardous areas, the JTY-GD-2151EIS smoke detector and JTWB-BCD-5151EIS heat detector are intrinsically safe conventional detectors connected to 2-wire panels through an interface module; ask FPS for the intrinsic safety certification details for your site.

FPS supplies, installs and maintains System Sensor conventional detectors in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.

Frequently asked questions

What is a conventional fire detector?
It is a detector wired on a zone circuit of a conventional fire alarm panel. When it detects a fire the panel shows which zone is in alarm, and the detector LED shows which detector operated.
What does Class A1R or A2S mean on a heat detector?
These are EN 54-5 classes for heat detectors. An R suffix means the detector also responds to a fast rise in temperature, and an S suffix means it responds only when its fixed temperature is reached.
What is special about Series 300 detectors?
They work on ordinary conventional zones but have intelligent features. A hand-held tool can set sensitivity, read maintenance data and test the alarm, and the S300ZDU zonal display can show the number of the detector in alarm.
Can I upgrade an old System Sensor installation without changing the bases?
The 2351/EIA, 2351/EC, 5351/E and 4351/E detectors are backward compatible with Series 100 detector bases, which System Sensor states allows existing installations to be upgraded and extended.
Which conventional detector suits a kitchen?
A heat detector rather than a smoke detector. The 5351/E and 4351/E are described for environments such as bars or kitchens where airborne contamination makes smoke detectors unsuitable.
Does FPS supply System Sensor conventional detectors in Bhopal?
