A manual call point is the unit fitted on escape routes and at exits that lets a person raise the fire alarm by hand. First match it to the panel. The Intelligent, Discovery and XP95 call points connect to an addressable loop, so the panel shows exactly which call point was operated; the Intelligent version works with XP95, Discovery and CoreProtocol, and the Discovery and XP95 versions report an alarm in under 0.2 seconds on XP95 and Discovery loops. The Series 65, AlarmSense and Conventional I.S. call points are for conventional systems.

Next decide on isolation and the operating element. Isolating versions carry a built-in short circuit isolator certified to EN 54-17, so a wiring fault near the call point is contained instead of affecting the whole loop.
