How to choose
A remote indicator is a small LED unit wired to a detector that is out of sight, for example above a false ceiling, under a floor or inside a locked room, so responders can see from the corridor which detector has gone into alarm. Bosch's FAA-420 indicators comply with DIN 14623, can be wall or ceiling mounted with a 360° view, and have a cable tie bracket and knock-outs in all directions. The FAA-420-RI-DIN is the plug-in version for DIN applications with an 8.5 to 33 volts DC operating range.
For testing, match the tool to the sensor. The SOLO330 dispenser puts smoke aerosol onto a smoke detector in place, with a clear cup so the detector LED stays visible, and fits SOLO100 and SOLO101 poles; it needs a smoke aerosol can, ordered separately. The FME-SOLO-A10S is a 250 ml smoke test aerosol for optical smoke detectors, made to be used in the SOLO330. The FME-TEST-CO spray is CO test gas for multisensor detectors with a C sensor. The SOLO461 kit tests heat detectors with battery powered heated air, focused on the sensor by Cross Air Technology.
