How to choose
Flame detectors watch for the light given off by open flames, indoors or outdoors, and Bosch says they suit smokeless liquid and gas fires that are hard to see as well as carbon-based materials that burn with heavy smoke. The FMX5000 IR detectors are triple IR (three infrared channels) with a 90° detection angle and resistance to false alarms from hot surfaces or sunlight: the 922819 is the standard version, the 911674 is intrinsically safe (Ex i) for Ex zones 1, 2, 20, 21 and 22, and the 924420 is an increased safety (Ex e) version for zones 2 and 22.
