Start with the system. The AVENAR all-in-one 4000, FNM-420 sounders, FNM-420 base sounders and the FNS-420-R strobe are analog addressable devices for Bosch LSN loops, so the panel controls and monitors each one. The FNM-320 sounders, FNS-320 beacon, LX sounder beacon and LX beacon are conventional devices, and the PA industrial sounders, PY industrial strobe and BEXS110D Ex-proof sounder take a 24 V DC supply.
Uninterruptible versions, with U in the code, keep signalling even if an LSN stub line is broken. The FNM-420U-A-BSRD base sounder, used with its high performance power source, maintains the alarm for 30 minutes after a bus fault in line with VdS 3536, and the AVENAR all-in-one 4000 is powered by the loop in standby and by its built-in battery in alarm, so it needs no external power supply.
Then choose sound and light for the space. Bosch gives up to 101.3 dB(A) for the FNM-420-A indoor sounder, up to 112 dB(A) for the FNM-320 range, 107 dBA for the PA 5 and 117 dBA for the PA 10-SSM, all measured as Bosch states. For visual alarms, the LX range and the PY X-M-10-SSM strobe comply with EN 54-23, the European standard for visual alarm devices, and the LX devices give up to 7.5 m coverage. Base sounders mount under a detector, so detection and sound share one ceiling point.
FPS supplies, installs, tests and maintains Bosch sounders and beacons in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh. Approvals differ from model to model, so check the list under each one and confirm the exact part number with FPS.
