A fire hose reel is a first aid firefighting point: a drum with a small bore hose that one person can run out and use straight away. Kartar makes complete reels in two designs, Malaysian type and compact type, each with a brass 3/4 inch shut off nozzle hydraulically crimped to the hose. Choose the hose length that reaches every part of the area the reel covers: 20 mm hose in 30 m, 36 m or 40 m.
Both reel types come with either rubber hose to IS 444 (Type 1) or thermoplastic hose to IS 12585 (Type 1), ISI marked. Kartar also sells the Malaysian type reel without hose (K912 MD), for 20 mm or 25 mm hose, when you want to fit your own hose or replace a drum.
Hose boxes keep the hose, couplings and branch pipe of a hydrant point clean and ready. Kartar makes them in M.S. or FRP: a double door box for 2 sets of 15 m hose (K918 D) and single door boxes for 1 set of 15 m hose (K918 S1) or 30 m hose (K918 S2), each also holding the couplings and one branch pipe. Kartar also lists MS fire doors in 2100 mm x 900 mm and 2100 mm x 1200 mm, and a fireman's axe (K921).
