How to choose
Bib taps are wall mounted taps with a male threaded inlet. Sant's IS-18 is a brass bib tap made as per IS-781 with a crutch head (a T shaped handle) and polished body, in 15 mm and 25 mm, tested at 1.5 MPa. The SBM-21 is an export pattern brass bib tap with a crutch head, a BSP parallel male inlet and a 300 psig body test. For isolating a branch, the IS-19 brass stop valve is made as per IS-781 in 15 mm, with male or female parallel threads to IS-554.
A ferrule cock connects a house or building service pipe to the water main. The IS-17 is a bronze ferrule cock made as per IS 2692, from 8 mm to 50 mm, with a male taper thread to IS 554, body tested at 1.5 MPa and seat tested at 1.0 MPa. The SBM-22 is a JCS WR type bronze ferrule with male BSP taper threads and a CAF gasket.
