Sant Valves Balancing, Air Vent and Float Valves in Bhopal

Fire Protection System, an authorised Sant Valves distributor in Bhopal, supplies Sant double regulating balancing valves in brass and ductile iron, a brass air vent valve and a forged brass float valve. Together they set the flow in each branch of a water circuit, release trapped air and shut off tank filling when the water reaches its level.

Where to use Balancing, Air Vent and Float Valves

  • Setting the flow in each branch of a water circuit (balancing valves)
  • Circuits running up to 120°C (CIBV) or 150°C (SBBV)
  • High points of water pipework, to release trapped air (air vent valve)
  • Pump room pipework and riser high points
  • Water tank inlets, to shut off supply when the tank is full (float valve)
  • Storage tank make up lines

How to choose

A balancing valve lets you set how much water goes through each branch so that every part of the system gets its share. Sant's balancing valves are double regulating: the valve can be set to a measured opening and also used to shut the branch, then reopened to the same setting. The SBBV is a forged brass valve from 20 mm to 50 mm with a brass cartridge disc and an ABS regulating wheel, rated to 150°C. The CIBV is a flanged ductile iron valve from 65 mm to 300 mm with DI and EPDM trim, rated to 120°C. Both have a maximum working pressure of 1.6 MPa (232 psig) and a body test of 2.4 MPa.

An air vent valve lets air collected at the high points of a pipe escape, since trapped air reduces flow and can cause noise and pressure surges. Sant's AV air vent valve is brass, rated PN 16 and up to 100°C, in 15 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm.

A float valve controls the filling of a tank: as the water rises the float closes the valve, and as it falls the valve opens again. Sant's FBV5 is a forged brass horizontal plunger type float valve from 15 mm to 50 mm with female BSP parallel threads, body tested at 1.05 MPa. FPS supplies and installs these valves in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.

Frequently asked questions

What does a balancing valve do?
It sets the flow through one branch of a water circuit so that flow is shared correctly between branches. Sant offers the SBBV in brass (20 mm to 50 mm) and the CIBV in ductile iron (65 mm to 300 mm).
What does double regulation mean?
A double regulating valve can be set to a fixed opening for balancing and also closed for isolation, then reopened to the same setting. Sant describes both its balancing valves as precise balancing, double regulation type.
Where should an air vent valve be fitted?
At the high points of the pipework, where air collects. Sant's brass AV air vent valve is rated PN 16 and up to 100°C, in 15 mm to 25 mm.
How does the Sant FBV5 float valve work?
It is a horizontal plunger type valve: the float arm moves a plunger that shuts the inlet as the tank fills and opens it as the level drops. It comes in forged brass from 15 mm to 50 mm with BSP threads.
How do I get a price for these Sant valves?
Prices depend on model, size and quantity and are shared on request. Call or WhatsApp +91 92440 89060 and FPS will quote for supply or supply with installation across MP.
