Morley by Honeywell HM/PSE/S2 Photoelectric Smoke Detector (DXc and ZXSe)
An S200A plug-in photoelectric smoke detector listed with the DXc and ZXSe panels. Its detection chamber is designed to cut false alarms from dust, insects and other debris.
Fire Protection System (FPS), a Morley dealer in Bhopal, supplies Morley-IAS smoke, multi-criteria and heat detectors for the DXc, ZXSe, Morley Max and Morley UL panels, with and without built-in isolators, plus the Morley Lite detectors. FPS installs, tests and maintains them across Madhya Pradesh.

An S200A multi-criteria detector that adds 58°C fixed temperature and rate of rise thermal sensing to a photoelectric smoke sensor, for better false alarm immunity and faster response to a wide range of fires.

A plug-in addressable heat detector with a single thermistor sensing circuit that alarms at a fixed 58°C, to EN 54-5 Class A1S.
A Morley-IAS thermal sensor listed with the DXc and ZXSe panels. The datasheet linked on the maker's page is for other model numbers, so FPS confirms the details of this part before supply.
A multi-criteria, multi-sensor detector that combines photoelectric smoke, thermal and infra red sensing, listed with the DXc and ZXSe panels. The maker presents PTIR as an alternative to ionisation detectors with better false alarm immunity.

An addressable heat detector with rate of rise sensing for the Morley UL range, UL listed with the B300-6-IV base.
An addressable high heat detector for the Morley UL range, UL listed with the B300-6-IV base, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to 66°C.
The Morley Lite photoelectric smoke detector, with an ASIC and optical chamber for accurate detection and a high level of resilience to non-fire influences. It fits Series 100 detector bases, so existing Series 100 installations can be upgraded or extended.
A Morley Lite smoke and heat detector that combines an optical chamber with a thermal element and signals an alarm only once its processor is satisfied that a fire is developing, which reduces nuisance alarms.
A Morley Lite thermal detector for places such as bars and kitchens, where airborne contamination makes smoke detectors unsuitable. It fits Series 100 detector bases.
A Morley-IAS photoelectric smoke detector series with standard and integrated isolator (S2I) versions, two tri-colour LEDs and both the standard and Advanced protocols. It is mechanically and electrically backwards compatible with existing devices.
A Morley-IAS addressable heat sensor that alarms when the temperature rises faster than 10°C per minute (typical) or passes 58°C, Response Class A1R, with an isolator in the S2I versions.
A Morley-IAS 58°C fixed temperature analogue addressable heat sensor with low mass thermistors for fast, linear temperature sensing, with an isolator in the S2I versions.
Start with the panel, because each Morley detector line is listed with a panel range. The HM/PSE/S2, HM/PTSE, HM/RHSE, HM/FHSE, MI-HTSE-S2I-IV and MI-PTIR-S2-IV are listed with the DXc and ZXSe panels; the HM-PSE-AP, HM-PTSE-AP, HM-RHSE-AP and HM-FHSE-AP families with Morley Max; the HM/.../UL/W detectors with the Morley UL range (STX and SMX panels); and the HML detectors with the Morley Lite panel. An addressable detector has its own address on the panel's loop, so the panel shows exactly which detector is in alarm. The Morley Max detectors use the HM Advanced Protocol, which Morley says puts more devices on the loop and gives more control, configurability and device management.
Then choose the sensing type. A photoelectric (optical) smoke detector senses smoke inside its optical chamber. A photo-thermal multi-criteria detector adds a heat sensor to the smoke sensor and judges both together, which Morley uses for better false alarm immunity and faster response to a wide range of fires. Heat detectors suit places where smoke detectors would be unsuitable, such as bars and kitchens. EN 54-5 is the European standard for point heat detectors: Class A1R combines a fixed threshold with rate of rise sensing, and Class A1S is fixed temperature only. The HM/RHSE gives fixed 58°C and rate of rise (10°C per minute) sensing, the HM/FHSE a fixed 58°C response.
Next, decide on isolators. A short-circuit isolator disconnects a shorted section of the loop so the rest of the loop keeps working. In the Morley Max range each detector type comes as a standard model or an isolator model (the -I- part numbers, listed to EN 54-17), and the MI-PSE-S2, MI-RHSE-S2 and MI-FHSE-S2 series have isolator versions marked S2I. The Morley UL detectors are UL listed with the B300-6-IV base, under listing S36216 for smoke and multi-sensor models and S36217 for heat models.
FPS checks the panel range, the room use and the ceiling before choosing detectors, then supplies, installs, tests and maintains Morley-IAS detectors in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
